The National Defence Academy (NDA), located in Khadakwasla, Pune, is India’s premier joint training institution for the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Established in 1954, it is the world’s first tri-service academy, preparing cadets for leadership roles in the armed forces. Admission is through the NDA exam, conducted by UPSC twice a year. The three-year training includes academics, physical fitness, and military skills, culminating in a bachelor’s degree from JNU. After graduation, cadets proceed to their respective service academies.
